Mastering Official Government Capitalization Failing to capitalize official titles is heavily penalized in both SSC and Court exams. Always Capitalize: State & Central Bodies: The Union Government, Ministry of Home Affairs, Supreme Court, High Court, Parliament, Lok Sabha. Official Titles: The Prime Minister, Hon'ble Chief Justice, Learned Solicitor General, Governor, Collector. Specific Acts and Rules: Indian Penal Code, Civil Procedure Code, Right to Information Act, Article 21. Do Not Capitalize: General references like "a local court", "several ministers", "the democratic governments of the world".
